There can be only one answer to this question: a worthwhile marketing automation platform is the one that earns back its investment!

Which, according to all kinds of research out there, can be a bit of a problem. Some platforms out there are extremely complicated software pieces that take a long time to implement (hint: Net-Results much is faster).

If your solution takes a long time to implement, that will affect the speed at which your investment will pay itself back. That makes a platform less “worthwhile” in my opinion.

But there’s another reason why “worthwhile” is a on point word for marketing automation. Worthwhile to me also says “you’re actually using it”.

Marketers like features. They like shopping for features. Sometimes picking out a marketing automation platform is a bit like getting to pick out a new car. If you’re not careful you end up buying all kinds of things you “kind of want” or “should make sure to get”. And then? You end up not using them.

Well, that’s a great way to make your marketing automation investment not worthwhile. You wouldn’t believe how many companies out there are using their marketing automation platform like a glorified emailer.

How do you make sure you’re using your platform in a worthwhile manner? Focus on these two things:

  1. Make sure you set it up to help you identify prospects whose timing to buy is changing to your advantage.
  2. Set up automated ways of building relationships with prospects whose timing is yet to change.

Those are the two things that will move the needle. The rest is nice to have.

Our own platform, Net-Results, is specifically built to help you do those two things. So check it out – it also comes with unlimited live customer support and all-inclusive pricing.
