By now you have probably heard the news about the 40 pounds of gold, rubies and diamonds hidden somewhere in this country for anyone to find. All you need to do is read the poem and glean information that will lead you to the treasure. Is it hidden in Yellowstone or is it in the hills of New Mexico? And what’s the significance of the capitalized word Brown? So much information contained is just six stanzas. What about the first letter from every line…did you test them for an anagram? It says what? What could that mean?
And once your read the poem, creating your plan, looking for trail maps, boat docks and cemeteries, did you learn that you could get more information? Did you know that there was a book? A book that contained more details, more clues, just waiting for you. Knowing about that from the beginning, would it have changed your mind about your plan…or about the location of the treasure? Can you be sure you have enough information from just the poem? In an interview, the poem’s author Forrest Fenn said…

“there’s no place that you can put [the treasure] that under the right circumstances there are not complications.”

That’s the rub with information too, isn’t it? You need it all to make a wise decision. You have to know the right circumstances to minimize the complications. Each piece contains a clue.
