When I was first learning about marketing automation, it sometimes felt like too much; I remember wishing that someone would just compile some resources that told me how to actually learn marketing automation.

Here at Net-Results, we’re always trying to be helpful, so I’m creating the list that I wish I had when I was first learning, chock-full of marketing automation resources!

Marketing Automation Resources

What will we be going over in this marketing automation resources blog post?

  1. Start with the basics.
  2. Marketing Automation Video Courses.
  3. Learn by doing — but work smarter, not harder.

So scroll on! Marketing Automation Resources are coming your way!

1. Start with the Basics

If you’re just dipping your toes into the world of marketing automation and are looking for a great overview, you’ll probably want to start at the very beginning.

This Marketing Automation 101 Whitepaper is an excellent Marketing Automation Resource to give all the quick basics that you’ll need to really understand:

  • What marketing automation is and is not
  • Why you should care as a B2B marketer
  • What possibilities and opportunities lie waiting for you

(I actually used to joke that I should carry this around in my bag so that I could hand it to people to read when they asked what I do!)

Did we mention it’s free and available for download right now? Check it out below!

2. Marketing Automation Video Courses

If you’re more of a visual or audio learner, video might be the perfect marketing automation resource platform for you!

There are a ton of different online platforms to learn more about digital marketing these days; Udemy and SkillShare tend to be some of the most popular!

But if you’re looking to go to free route — you should check out the Net-Results Youtube channel! We’ve posted a lot of great videos about topics ranging from UTM to CCPA.

3. Learn by doing — the right way.

This kind of seems like a trick — “learn to do it by doing it.”

Nope, I have lots of tips and tricks that will really help you work smarter, not harder when it comes to learning marketing automation, depending on your exact situation!

If you’re already on a marketing automation platform: Utilizing your Customer Success team and support time is the absolute best way to get yourself going. At Net-Results, all of our customers go through an amazing series of calls with their dedicated Account Manager that goes over all the basic technical functionalities… and then some. (Part of the reason that Net-Results Customer Support is ranked at 98%, beating our competitors by a landslide.)

If you’re looking for tips, tricks, and worksheets to help you implement marketing automation with your organization: I’d highly recommend you check out the Marketing Automation Implementation Guide — it’s filled with worksheets, tips, and tricks to help you really implement marketing automation successfully at your organization.

If you know a lot, but want to stay up to date, too: there are a lot of great blogs out there, and I’d recommend curating them into some sort of RSS feed that you can periodically look through. I actually like to start my Mondays with a scroll through my favorite marketing automation blogs to read anything that has been published in the last few days. It always tends to put me in a creative and strategic mindset. Of course, you can subscribe to the Net-Results blog down below, but some of my other favorites are ChiefMartec.com, NeilPatel.com, and B2BMarketingZone.com.

And there you have it!
